Heroic Name: Canary
Real Name: Reginae (Gina) Lance
Appearance: an attractive, athletic young woman with short blonde hair, wearing a rather outré indigo outfit,
Powers: sonic powers (including super ventriloquism), hyper agility, incredible courage and determination,
History: the oldest current member of the Legion of Justice. She has been a Legionnaire since she was 13, and she started in the Legion Academy at 8. She is something of a martinet.
Expression: Great Bird of the Galaxy!
Heroic Name: Kid Terrific
Real Name: Cathy Beamish
Appearance: an attractive, athletic young woman, with long red hair, wearing a garish skintight red, yellow and green outfit, with a yellow triangle on the outfit's torso that reads "Fair Play" in stylized script
Powers: an incredible athlete and highly skilled in hand to hand combat. She has an implanted memory enhancer that allows her to mentally access external databases. In her belt are hundreds of memory modules, with information on any subject she thinks a Legionnaire might need, and the Justice Enforcement Division of the government has a library of thousands more such memory modules.
History: very few people can tolerate the implanted memory module, and only about 1 in a billion can use it as naturally as her own brain. Cathy is one of those rare individuals.
Heroic Name: Star Lass
Real Name: Theresa Knight
Appearance: a dark haired beauty, quite short, wearing a black bodysuit that seemed to shimmer like a night sky full of stars. When she flies, she lives behind a sparkling golden trail.
Powers: she can generate a shimmering golden force field which can create various effects, she can fly, and she can increase and decrease the weight of things.
History: She is a physicist and descendent of Ted Knight. She has a Cosmic Rod surgically implanted in her body. Her weight control powers are natural; perhaps she is a mutation due to her family's long association with the Cosmic Rod. She is currently the most powerful member of the Legion. One of her great aunts was Tracy Knight, who fled the Utopian States of America in a homemade spaceship, to escape the death penalty for nonpayment of taxes. Tracy used Cosmic Rod power her ship. She wandered the star lanes for some 40 years, and she and her crew, a gathering a crew of other wanderers and misfits, became legendary as the Wanderers. The Wanderers built Knight Base, an asteroid base which is now the home of the Legion of Justice, and then just disappeared.
Heroic Name: Sandy the Golden Boy
Real Name:
Appearance: a large boy made of gold, wearing green shorts, with green bands on his wrists, ankles and neck. He likes to wear whimsical accessories such as bush hats
Powers: his body is actually made of gold, and he can stretch and reshape his body almost infinitely. He can absorb gold into his body by touching it, and he can withdraw his life force from 'excess' gold in his body and then 'shed' that no longer living gold. He loses control of his body when it is melted. A natural leader, with good natural wisdom.
History: an alien from a desert planet, the first nonhuman ever allowed in the Legion. Fourth oldest after Canary.
Heroic Name: Greenfire
Real Name: Drake Burroughs
Appearance: a visored figure in a dark green and black bodysuit, surrounded by a green glowing aura when using his powers, leaves behind a blazing emerald streak when he flies
Powers: merged with the 'Starheart', the source of power for the 20th Century Green Lantern, he can fire energy power blasts and fly. He can potentially create energy objects, grow, shrink, walk through walls, translate languages, and should be the most powerful member of the Legion
History: Drake is trained as a scientist, and everyone thought he had a brilliant career ahead of him. He was working as a research assistant when there was an explosion which vaporized the Starheart and his body. He almost died before he managed to meld his mind with the mystical green energy. As soon as it was realized that he was still alive, the government drafted him into the Legion. He is perpetually angry at being forced to live as an energy being trapped inside a containment suit. At one time, Drake was forced to take refuge inside the ancient ring of the original Green Lantern, and his energies can be used to power the ring. Drake doesn't like being trapped in the Power Ring, as he is unable to use his own will to control his own energy. The Power Ring is currently sealed inside his containment suit. It is probable that the 'accident' that fused him with the Starheart was deliberately planned by Amgov.
Heroic Name: Timepiece
Real Name: Rexford Tyler
Appearance: A very frail boy in a high technology floating chair.
Powers: His chair has various prosthetics that responded to vocal commands including waldos. The chair has antigravity and flight capabilities. Rexford has the natural chronal ability to remain one second out of synch with linear time, and see the present, using this power he can create time loops
History: when he reached adolescence, Rexford Tyler's limbs began to fail him. Terrified at the thought of spending the rest of his life paralyzed, he turned his genius level intelligence to developing prosthetics that might allow him to at least care for himself. Once his floatchair was completed, he turned to cybernetics, and constructed the intelligent computer Gernsbeck. When Rex started doing research into prohibited areas of science and physics, notably time travel, one of his Legion Academy classmates, Coquette, a shape shifter, also known as 'Clothes Fall Off Girl' attempted to seduce and subvert him, following orders given by General Urbane. When he wasn't interested, Amgov had him poisoned. He was probably the first guy who ever didn't fall for her, and she has hated him ever since.
Heroic Name: Gernsbeck
Real Name: Gernsbeck
Appearance: unknown
Powers: a intelligent computer, with subspace, radio and time communications capabilities. Gernsbeck can create Boom tubes, and monitor the past.
History: built by Rex Tyler on Earth, then merged with the more advanced computers at Knight Base after the Legion of Justice escaped from Amgov.
Heroic Name: TeleTeen
Real Name: Tommy
Appearance: a tall thin boy with a large head
Powers: telekinesis. Legion scientists theorize that he should also be capable of telepathy and other mental feats and that additional powers will manifest with age and practice
History: his parents are assigned to the research base on Saturn's moon of Titan, and Tommy is a mutant. Tommy is shy and withdrawn.
Heroic Name: Chemique
Real Name: Miqui
Appearance: Asian, with short dark hair, and an burnt orange and green uniform.
Powers: as an android built of synthetic materials, she is more durable, stronger and faster than normal humans. She can control chemical reactions. Legion scientists theorize that she may have other chemistry-related powers, such as elemental transmutation and the ability to transform the chemical composition of her own body. If her powers manifest as predicted, she would probably be the most powerful Legionnaire. She can use her powers to change the chemical composition of her body and hair, thus giving her limited powers of disguise.
History: Miqui is 15, and the first android ever allowed to become a member of the Legion of Justice. Her body duplicates exactly every human feature and function, including growth and again. She must eat special food composed of the chemicals her body needs. She wasn't supposed to have super powers, but when she reached adolescence and her body started to change, unexpected powers appeared. Miqui has an inferiority complex because she's not a 'real' person. Miqui is the leader of the Legion Stealth Squad and is starting to gain confidence as she realizes she has real talent for leadership and espionage.
Heroic Name: Hour Boy
Real Name: Randall Tyler, Rexford's brother.
Appearance: Looks much like Rexford, his older brother, but he works out constantly and has the physique of a body builder.
Powers: Randall can 'dive' backwards into time. He can move backwards for up to an hour. Once he reaches the 'depth' he has selected, time passes normally for him and he returns to the present. While he is in the past, is remains a phantom, able to see and hear everything that goes on around him, but affect nothing. He can move freely as a phantom, and pass through physical objects, up to a top speed of just under the speed of sound. He can carry about 50 pounds of stuff back in time with him. However, as soon as that stuff loses contact with him, it immediately pops to the surface, i.e., returns to the present. Hour Boy can't dive when he is already in the past, and after each dive, he needs to rest one minute for each minute he just spent in the past. He gets sick if he spends too much time in the past, his limit is about an hour every 24 hours. He is also a highly skilled ordinance designer and engineer, building all his own equipment, and is the weaponer of the Legion.
History: Fiercely protective of his older brother. He has similar intellectual potential as Rex, but has never been forced to develop his mind. Instead, he has spent hours developing his physique, hoping that the physical problem that affected Rex would not touch him. He is highly skilled in demolition and weapons, and a very good observer, and a good fighter with the ability to spring a devastating surprise on an opponent, for example vanishing from in front of the opponent and instantly appearing behind that opponent. When he first became interested in science at the Legion Academy, he was seduced by an older cadet, Coquette (a.k.a. Clothes Fall Off Girl) and she led him so far astray he almost flunked out. People not involved in the relationship thought she did it in revenge on Rex, which was probably true, but she was acting on orders of General Urbane.
Heroic Name: Hawk Boy
Real Name: Horus, another reincarnation of Hawkman.
Appearance: A Fetherian. Tawny brown-feathered figure
Powers: fly, talk with birds, use his scream as a weapon, have vicious claws on hands and feet. has incredible vision and stamina, and always knows where he is. A superb air and space pilot. Hates being underground
History: One of the youngest Legionnaires, he was allowed into the Academy after Sandy showed that nonhumans could be successful. He is fierce and almost single-minded, although the ancient soul of Hawkman is mellowing him. Tends to hiss when he talks. He only recently found out he is descended from a whole bunch of heroes, the Feitherian hero Northwind on his father's side, and Green Lanterns 1, 2 and 3, Harlequin, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman and Odysseus, Fury, Silver Scarab, and Silverbird. He doesn't yet know the details. But the Power Ring used by Alan Scott (Green Lantern 1) and his descendents, Adam Jason Scott (Green Lantern 2) and Shayera Scott (Green Lantern 3) was discovered in the house of Hawk Boy's parents.
Heroic Name: WildCat
Real Name: unpronounceable; means 'challenger who screams and leaps', nickname 'Chall'
Appearance: another alien, same age as Hawk Boy. He looks like a panther standing on two legs, though his face is as expressive as a human face..
Powers: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, ability to jump long distances (30' and more), enhanced smell and hearing
History: From another planet where the felines evolved into the dominant intelligent species. He and Hawk Boy have a strange relationship. Both are evolved predators, and they share a predatory mentality, but their species are naturally antagonistic. Mostly they ignore each other. But on the right kind of missions, they work really well together, each understanding the workings of the other's mind almost instinctively. WildCat has a fetish for human females. Has trouble speaking English, tends to extend the Rs (overrrrrrrrrrrr) and the Es (weeeeeeee).
Chall is one of about 60 sons of the Empress of the Empire of Elaigar, a hereditary monarchy that includes 8 solar systems with 5 inhabited planets. Though the sons of the Empress can never attain the throne, she makes sure they achieve positions of power in the Empire, thus assuring her of powerful support. Elaigar is considering an alliance with one of the powers on Earth, and Chall is one of the fact finders she sent to Earth. Amgov thought a prince of a warrior race might be impressed by the Legion of Justice, especially since 'the other side' doesn't have a similar organization. Chall has asked him Empress for permanent assignment to the Legion of Justice. He has made his vast credit account available to the Legion, which is extremely useful because the assets of all the other Legionnaires were confiscated when the Legion escaped from Amgov.
Chall is strongly attracted to human females.
