Appeared out of nowhere to help battle the Fantastic Man. Other details
are not yet known. Addressed Ibis by name, and called Captain Marvel
'Cap', and knows Bulletman well enough that Bulletman designed his
weapons for him. Also had access to Spy Smasher's gyro-sub. Probably
Spy Smasher's son or grandson.
Powers
Icon of
Freedom is a superb athlete and is highly trained in hand to hand
combat, and he is an expert with his weapons, a pair of convertible
truncheons. These specially designed metal weapons were made for him by
Jim (Bulletman) Barr, and are extensible/collapsible. They are made of
an undisclosed alloy and each can be collapsed to 12 inches or extended
to 8 feet, ane with a twist, each can be separated into a nanchaku.
Icon makes extensive use of these weapons, from throwing them, to using
them as truncheons, bo sticks, nunchakas and quarterstaffs. Icon of
Freedom also wears a utility belt, and the belt is supplied with a lot
of gadgets, made by Jack Barr. It is not known yet what kinds of things
Icon carries in the utility belt.
Additionally, Icon of Freedom uses Spy Smasher's gyro-sub,
re-engineered with modern technology, as transportation. This vehicle
can travel on land, on water, under water, or through the air, as well
as hover. It is armored and armed with missiles. It is extremely fast,
able to trevel at Mach 6. At subsonic speeds, it makes almost no sound
at all, and the streamlining and noise baffling system designed by Jim
Barr muffles the sonic boom to around the noise level of an M-80. The
g-sub no doubt has other capabilities that are as yet unrevealed.
