History

Bill Batson married his long-time girlfriend Cissy Sommers in 1993, and their daughter Cissy was born in 1995 - on Bill's birthday. Her best friend, Wendi Freeman was born on the same day at the same time. Cissy and Wendi are twins in many things - they have the same face, and the same vital measurements, although Cissy is 8 inches taller. Cissy is a very happy, friendly lady, but is somewhat shy. Cissy received access to the Power of Shazam, and she uses this power to become Zap. If she is holding hands with Wendi and they say the magic word together, they are merged into Cindi Thunder, code name Thundress. Cissy and Wendi can read each other's minds, in addition to their other powers. Cissy works as a model. She is not quite a 'supermodel', not really having the personality for it or wanting that much attemtion.

Powers

Cissy inherited some of the Power of Shazam from her father, Captain Marvel. Cissy's powers derive from the same Elders as Cap and Mary Marvel, but she displays other powers than Cap or Mary. When she says the magic word, Shazam, she receives the power to throw lightning (from Zeus), invisibility (from Mercury) and agility (from Hippolyta). She has been trained in the user of her powers by the other members of the Marvel family since she was very young, but she is still exploring some aspects of her powers (for example, can she control electricty as well as throw lightning bolts?). Additionally, Cissy is mystically linked to Wendi Freeman - whenever Wendi uses the magic word, Cissy knows it. Cissy can communicate mentally with Wendi when she wants to. When Cissy joins hands with Wendi Freeman and they say the magic word together, they are joined to become Thundress, who has the standard Marvel Family powers.
